Success Takes Effort

Hey everyone, sorry I’ve been MIA lately. I’ve been dealing with a lot in my personal life and I’ve barely made it through, but I’m doing much better now and I’ve realized a few important things. Chief among them is the fact that I don’t work nearly enough!

I work a lot. What the average person considers a lot anyway. I’ve been trying to figure out what’s been keeping me from being a full time writer (game developer, blogger, podcaster, etc.) and it dawned on me that it’s because I’m not writing full time. I’m not making a living from my creativity, because I’m not living my creativity. I have a decent sized body of work, but it’s not enough and I need to work harder and more consistently to get what I want from what I do.

So from now on, I will be working much harder to get there. If I am not working my day job, I will be working on creating. I have big plans for all that I want to do and I will not be relying on luck or the favor of strangers to get it done. I will be upping my volume significantly.

I have a few novel series I am looking to release which will equate to one novel a quarter. Then I will be releasing random short stories, because I tend to write them out of passion and ideas I don’t think will make good novels. Among those short stories will be a re-polished release of a series I did a while ago. Then I will be doing three novella series that I will release randomly. Finally, I will be getting back into children’s books with the resurrection of my established series and the start of another one.

The majority of these short stories will be free and posted here and I will be having occasional giveaways, so be sure to subscribe to my email list to get quarterly updates on what’s going on. I will also be posting micro fiction to my Instagram page on occasion @jtgloryjones.

When I find time between writing I will be doing other things with my creativity: Game development, blogging more consistently, podcasting more frequently and making public appearances, but writing comes first by far! See of list of the writing projects below so you can know what to expect. I’ll have a more detailed schedule once I do more planning. This is my pledge to you, my friends, family, fans and strangers. I will work harder for your eyes.

  • Worlds of Wonder

  • The Way of All Flesh
